Julie's Notes on these Quilts
- Houses and Children: In a happy neighborhood. We all should grow up this way.
- Quack! An early quilt. I chose this one because I thought it would be relatively easy; it was.
- The Quilt Shop: A humorous take on quilts and quilters. It was made from a pattern based on a picture by Barbara Lavallee.
- Cool Dude: When I saw the pattern for this flamingo, I knew I had to make him. He reminds me of neighborhood kids, just hanging out. This is a mini-quilt.
- Balloon Fiesta: This quilt is paper-pieced. It is a tribute to the New Mexico Hot Air Balloon Fiesta, held in Albuquerque every year.
- Children of the World: My first applique quilt, made in 1982.
- Christmas: Geometrical Santas and, of course, trees.
- Cats and Mice: The tails are hanging loose; they are not quilted.
