Julie's Notes on These Quilts

  1. Creatures of the Night: I had a lot of fun making this quilt. I had to really think about the animals and bugs, to make them as real as possible. I worked on this quilt for 1 1/2 years. See how many creatures you can find on the quilt. The pattern is from "Quilts by Rosemary."

  2. Summertime: The combination of flowers and creatures on this quilt called to me and said, "make me!" There are plenty of bugs, and even a frog, to make it feel like a walk through the woods in the summertime. Pattern by Mary Sorense.
  3. Poppies: Looking thought my quilts, you'll probably think I like poppies a lot. I do.
  4. Six Flowers: Looking thought my quilts, you'll probably think I like all kinds of flowers a lot. I do. They also create a great opportunity to work with colors, shapes, and textures.
  5. Flowers and Hummingbirds: An original design.
  6. Poppies: The leaves and flowers are hand appliqued. It was a real challenge to put this one together.
  7. Stained Glass: The shape and colors of this quilt reminded me of a stained-glass window.
